The Volunteers - CD
This was the first CD produced by The Volunteers on Stray Bullet Records back in 1998. All original Henk-penned tunes, including that perennial crowd pleaser, "The Reel of The Bare-Ass Girl," an early version of "The Last Chance Bar" and a dangerously out-of-control recording of grunge-rocker "Shadow of a Gunman."
This CD features the flying fiddle of Rick LaRue (who joined us recently for a set of shows in the Turks & Caicos Islands) and the amazing mandolin and guitar work of our old mate Ben Peeler - ex-The Mavericks, ex-The Wallflowers and currently touring with Shakirah.
